WASHINGTON, DC – Award winning Princeton University Physicist Dr. Will Happer, who was reportedly fired by former Vice President Al Gore in 1993 for failing to adhere to Gore’s scientific views, has now declared man-made global warming fears “mistaken.”

“I am convinced that the current alarm over carbon dioxide is mistaken,” Happer, who has published over 200 scientific papers, told EPW on December 22, 2008. Happer made his remarks while requesting to join the 2008 U.S. Senate Minority Report from Environment and Public Works Ranking Member James Inhofe (R-OK) of over 650 (and growing) dissenting international scientists disputing anthropogenic climate fears. [Note: Joining Happer as new additions to the Senate report, are at least 10 more scientists, including meteorologists from Germany, Netherlands and CNN, as well as a professors from MIT and University of Arizona. See below for full quotes and bios of the new skeptical scientists added to the groundbreaking report, which includes many current and former UN IPCC scientists.]

“I had the privilege of being fired by Al Gore, since I refused to go along with his alarmism. I did not need the job that badly,” Happer said this week. Happer is a Professor at the Department of Physics at Princeton University and former Director of Energy Research at the Department of Energy from 1990 to 1993, has published over 200 scientific papers, and is a fellow of the American Physical Society, The American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the National Academy of Sciences.

Senator Inhofe said that the continued outpouring of prominent scientists like Happer — who are willing to publicly dissent from climate fears — are yet another strike to the UN, Gore and the media’s claims about global warming. “The endless claims of a ‘consensus’ about man-made global warming grow less-and-less credible every day,” Inhofe said.

Happer, who served as the Director of Energy Research at the Department of Energy in 1993, says he was fired by Gore in 1993 for not going along with Gore’s scientific views on ozone and climate issues. “I was told that science was not going to intrude on policy,” Happer explained in 1993.

“I have spent a long research career studying physics that is closely related to the greenhouse effect, for example, absorption and emission of visible and infrared radiation, and fluid flow,” Happer said this week. “Fears about man-made global warming are unwarranted and are not based on good science. The earth’s climate is changing now, as it always has. There is no evidence that the changes differ in any qualitative way from those of the past,” he added.

“Over the past 500 million years since the Cambrian, when fossils of multicellular life first became abundant, the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have been much higher than current levels, about 3 times higher on average.  Life on earth flourished with these higher levels of carbon dioxide,” he explained. “Computer models used to generate frightening scenarios from increasing levels of carbon dioxide have scant credibility,” Happer added.

Below are the full entries of the scientists just added to the 2008 U.S. Senate Minority Report: “More Than 650 International Scientists Dissent Over Man-Made Global Warming Claims”: (Updated December 22, 2008)

Professor of Ecology and Evolutionary Biology Dr. W. M. Schaffer, Ph. D., of the University of Arizona – Tucson, past member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, who has authored more than 80 scientific publications and authored the paper “Human Population and Carbon Dioxide,” dissented in 2008. “My principal objections to the theory of anthropogenic warming are as follows: 1) I am mistrustful of ‘all but the kitchen sink’ models that, by virtue of their complexity, cannot be analyzed mathematically. When we place our trust in such models, what too often results is the replacement of a poorly understood physical (chemical, biological) system by a model that is similarly opaque,” Schaffer told EPW on December 19, 2008. “2) I am troubled by the application of essentially linear thinking to what is arguably the mother of all nonlinear dynamical systems – i.e., the climate. 3) I believe it likely that “natural climate cycles” are the fingerprints of chaotic behavior that is inherently unpredictable in the long-term. As reviewed in a forthcoming article (Schaffer, in prep), these cycles are “dense” on chaotic attractors and have the stability properties of saddles. Evolving chaotic trajectories successively shadow first one cycle, then another. The result is a sequence of qualitatively different behaviors – what climatologists call “regime shift” – independent of extrinsic influences. Tsonis and his associates discuss this phenomenon in terms of network theory and synchronized chaos, but these embellishments are not necessary. To be chaotic is to dance the dance of the saddles,” Schaffer explained. “The recent lack of warming in the face of continued increases in CO2 suggests (a) that the effects of greenhouse gas forcing have been over-stated; (b) that the import of natural variability has been underestimated and (c) that concomitant rises of atmospheric CO2 and temperature in previous decades may be coincidental rather than causal,” he added. “I fear that things could easily go the other way: that the climate could cool, perhaps significantly; that the consequences of a new Little Ice Age or worse would be catastrophic and that said consequences will be exacerbated if we meanwhile adopt warmist prescriptions. This possibility, plus the law of unintended consequences, leads me to view proposed global engineering ‘solutions’ as madness. ‘First do no harm’ should be the watchword of those who propose policy; the fate of Icarus, the example uppermost in their minds,” he continued. “I believe that the enthusiasm of many of my colleagues for the ‘consensus’ view of climate change is partly motivated by considerations outside of science. If I am correct, the truth of the matter will inevitably become widely known and the consequences to science, severe. Think Lysenko and the demise of Soviet genetics,” he concluded. CNN Meteorologist Chad Myers, an meteorologist for 22 years, certified by the American Meteorological Society, spoke out against anthropogenic climate claims in 2008. “You know, to think that we could affect weather all that much is pretty arrogant,” Myers said during a December 18, 2008 appearance on CNN’s “Lou Dobbs Tonight.” “Mother Nature is so big, the world is so big, the oceans are so big – I think we’re going to die from a lack of fresh water or we’re going to die from ocean acidification before we die from global warming, for sure,” Myers explained. “But this is like, you know you said – in your career – my career has been 22 years long. That’s a good career in TV, but talking about climate – it’s like having a car for three days and saying, ‘This is a great car.’ Well, yeah – it was for three days, but maybe in days five, six and seven it won’t be so good. And that’s what we’re doing here,” he added. “We have 100 years worth of data, not millions of years that the world’s been around,” Myers concluded. (LINK) (LINK)

Engineer and Physicist J.K. “Jim” August, formerly of the U.S. Navy nuclear power program, and former chair of professional standard committees in both the American Nuclear Society and the American Society of Mechanical Engineering, dissented from climate fears in 2008. “Gore’s An Inconvenient Truth is not scientifically based, August wrote in a December 15, 2008 analysis titled “An Inconvenient Truth, or a Calculating Deception.” “The book denies the legitimacy of science for review.  The irony is, of course, the treatise that Mr. Gore uses to make his points, which could only have any value based on some scientific certainty basis, is not based on science nor the scientific method – nor can scientists even use science to review it, or follow its logic,” August explained. “Gore argues we’re morally obliged to support his conclusions, precluding objective review with the same scientific methods that he claims to have supported his work. Presenting consequences as facts, he categorically rejects their testing with the same scientific method.  Should we be surprised, then when Mr. Gore says that anyone who doubts this must be morally corrupt?” August added. “Fighting religion with reason, we scientists sadly can’t contest. Mr. Gore even shared a Nobel Prize with the IPCC.  So, isn’t it ironic? The only truth that’s inconvenient here is that Mr. Gore’s successfully sold his message as if it were science!” he added. Biologist and Neuropharmacologist Dr. Doug Pettibone, who has authored 120 scientific publications and holds ten patents and is a past member of the American Association for the Advancement of Science, dissented in 2008. “There is currently no satisfactory answer to the central question: ‘What is the actual proof that humans are causing catastrophic global warming?’ All of the climate computer models in the world do not provide the proof,” Pettibone wrote to EPW on December 11, 2008. “It boils down to a matter of faith that the 30-year positive correlation between man-made CO2 and global temperature provides the proof.  But correlations are not proof of cause-and-effect. Blaming global warming on human activity is terribly premature and any legislation designed to curtail CO2 will likely be misguided, costly and ineffective based on the available evidence. Since there has not been any significant increase in global temperatures in the last decade, it is not even clear where temperatures are going to go from here,” Pettibone explained. (LINK)

Meteorologist Tom Wysmuller, former weather forecaster at Amsterdam’s Royal Dutch Weather Bureau whose “Polynomial Regression algorithm is embedded in every high-end Texas Instruments calculator sold today,” dissented from man-made global warming fears and predicted a coming global cooling in 2008. Wysmuller said during his two-hour presentation of his latest scientific research titled “The colder side of global warming on December 6, 2008. Wysmuller believes that temperature increases of today are distinct from carbon dioxide levels. “Carbon dioxide is increasing but not dragging the temperatures up,” Wysmuller said. “If we controlled pollution now, we still wouldn’t stop the ice cap from melting,” he explained. “The largest contributor to carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is the warming oceans,” he continued. The December 11, 2008, article explained, “Wysmuller argues that the current spike in temperature and carbon dioxide levels are approaching levels that existed just prior to the most recent ice age. What that means, he said, is that we are nearing a period when temperatures will actually start to decrease and weather patterns dramatically change.”  Wysmuller’s research shows that open water at the Arctic will generate an abundance of “ocean effect” snow, similar to the lake effect snow that hits the upstate New York area. “[The Arctic] will have massive amounts of ocean effect snow,” Wysmuller said. “The accumulated snowfall increases reflecting light, so temperatures will cool.” (LINK) (LINK) (LINK)

MIT Scientist Dr. Robert Rose, a professor of Materials Science and Engineering at MIT with approximately 50 years of experience teaching various scientific, linked warming and cooling cycles to the “orbit and the tilt and wobble of the axis of the Earth’s spin.” Rose also questioned climate model predictions on July 8, 2008, by stating, “Clearly, these are not ‘facts.’ They are computer models. They may be correct or at least lead us to the correct answer, but the earliest model appears to be incorrect,” Rose wrote. “Cooler heads [are] needed in global warming debate,” Rose wrote. “Global warming is occurring as it has many times in the past; and it will continue for some years before the cooling cycle begins and the glaciers take over, also as they have in the past. We are trying very hard to develop computer simulations to predict the contribution our activities are making to the warming, and the going has been difficult. These models can’t be tested experimentally (unless we can find another planet on which to conduct our experiments) and are tested mostly by fitting them to past behavior, pretty much the same approach as handicapping horse races. Climate researcher Dr. Craig Loehle, formerly of the Department of Energy Laboratories and currently with the National Council for Air and Stream Improvements, who has published more than 100 peer-reviewed scientific papers, attended the skeptical 2008 International Conference on Climate Change in New York City in March 2008. “The 2000-year [temperature] trend is not flat, so a warming period is not unprecedented,” Loehle said during the skeptical conference in March 2008. “The 1500-year [temperature] cycle as proposed by [Atmospheric physicist Fred] Singer and [Dennis] Avery is consistent with Loehle climate reconstruction,” Loehle explained. “The 1500-year cycle implies that recent warming is part of natural trend,” he added.  (LINK) (LINK) (LINK) Loehl published a November 2007 study in Energy & Environment that found the Medieval Warm Period to be “0.3C warmer than the 20th century.” The study was titled “A 2000-year global temperature reconstruction based on non-treering proxies.” (LINK) & (LINK)

German Meteorologist Dr. Gerd-Rainer Weber, a Consulting Meteorologist, attended the skeptical 2008 International Conference on Climate Change in New York City in March. “Most of the extremist views about climate change have little or no scientific basis. The rational basis for extremist views about global warming may be a desire to push for political action on global warming,” Weber said during the conference. (LINK) Weber also endorsed the Manhattan Declaration on Climate Change, sponsored by the International Climate Science Coalition (ICSC) in 2008. The declaration reads in part, “There is no convincing evidence that CO2 emissions from modern industrial activity has in the past, is now, or will in the future cause catastrophic climate change.”

Atmospheric Scientist Robert L. Scotto, who has more than 30 years air quality consulting experience, served as zone-wide QA Manager on a $300 million EPA Superfund contract, is co-founder of Minnich and Scotto, Inc., a full-service air quality consulting firm and a past member of the American Meteorological Society (AMS). Scotto, a meteorologist who has authored or co-authored numerous technical publications and reports, joined the 650 international scientists dissenting from man-made warming claims in 2008. “Proponents of AGW (anthropogenic global warming) analyses of recent surface temperature records which are suspect at best, as they clearly contradict much more reliable satellite data,” Scotto told EPW on December 22, 2008. According to satellite data, “the Earth has been cooling since 1998,” Scotto wrote. “This discrepancy is due principally to the spatially unrepresentative nature of the surface records, owing first to the fact that rural stations are increasingly being replaced by urban stations and, second, to the frequent failure of these new urban stations to meet basic siting criteria,” Scotto explained. “Based on the laws of physics, the effect on temperature of man’s contribution to atmospheric CO2 levels is minuscule and indiscernible from the natural variability caused in large part by changes in solar energy output. Acknowledgment of this true science is critical to implementation of much-needed practical measures for increasing domestic energy and world food supplies,” he added. (LINK) (LINK)

Atmospheric Scientist Timothy R. Minnich, who has more than 30 years experience in the design and management of a wide range of air quality investigations for industry and government, specializes in the application of optical remote sensing (ORS) to a wide range of air-related issues. Minnich has worked with EPA as a Superfund contractor, is co-founder of Minnich and Scotto, Inc., a full-service air quality consulting firm. Minnich, who holds a masters degree in meteorology and taught courses at Rutgers University and University of Michigan, is a past member of the American Meteorological Society, specializes in issues like acid rain and ozone and has authored or co-authored numerous technical publications and reports. “I choose to take President-elect Obama at his word when, upon his appointment of John Holdren as director of the White House Office of Science and Technology Policy, he promised to “[protect] free and open inquiry . . . ensuring that facts and evidence are never twisted or obscured by politics or ideology,’” Minnich told EPW on December 22, 2008. Clearly the best means to fulfill on this commitment is to appoint to the Council of Advisors on Science and Technology, over which Dr. Holdren will preside, several of the more than 650 distinguished and renowned scientists who have openly questioned the “consensus” on AGW in Senator Inhofe’s 2008 U.S. Senate Minority Report,” Minnich explained. “The late Michael Crichton said it well: ‘Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. . . . Let’s be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus [which] is the business of politics. . . . What is relevant is reproducible results. The greatest scientists in history are great precisely because they broke with the consensus,’” Minnich added. (LINK) (LINK)

Award Winning Physicist Dr. Will Happer, Professor at the Department of Physics at Princeton University and Former Director of Energy Research at the Department of Energy from 1990 to 1993, who has published over 200 scientific papers, and is a fellow of the American Physical Society, The American Association for the Advancement of Science, and the National Academy of Sciences, dissented from warming fears and requested to be added to Senate dissenting scientist report in 2008. “I had the privilege of being fired by Al Gore, since I refused to go along with his alarmism. I did not need the job that badly,” Happer told EPW on December 22, 2008. Happer, who was awarded the Alexander von Humboldt Award, the Broida Prize and the 1999 Davisson-Germer Prize of the American Physical Society, says he was fired by Gore in 1993 for not going along with Gore’s environmental agenda. “I was told that science was not going to intrude on policy,” Happer said in 1993. In 2008, Happer publicly dissented from man-made warming fears. “I have spent a long research career studying physics that is closely related to the greenhouse effect, for example, absorption and emission of visible and infrared radiation, and fluid flow. Based on my experience, I am convinced that the current alarm over carbon dioxide is mistaken,” Happer explained. “Mistakes are common in science and they can take a long time to correct, sometimes many generations. It is important that misguided political decisions do not block science’s capacity for self correction, especially in this instance when incorrect science is being used to threaten our liberties and wellbeing,” Happer added. “Fears about man-made global warming are unwarranted and are not based on good science. The earth’s climate is changing now, as it always has. There is no evidence that the changes differ in any qualitative way from those of the past. We are currently in a warming cycle that began in the early 1800’s, at the end of the little ice age. Much of the current warming occurred before the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere were significantly increased by the burning of fossil fuels. No one knows how long the current warming will continue, and in fact, there has been no warming for the past ten years,” he continued. “Carbon dioxide is a natural constituent of the atmosphere, and calling it a ‘pollutant’ is inaccurate.  Humans exhale air containing 4 to 5 per cent carbon dioxide or 40,000 to 50,000 parts per million. Plants grow better with more carbon dioxide. The current levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere are about 380 parts per million, exceptionally low by the standards of geological history. Over the past 500 million years since the Cambrian, when fossils of multicellular life first became abundant, the levels of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere have been much higher than current levels, about 3 times higher on average.  Life on earth flourished with these higher levels of carbon dioxide,” he added. “Computer models used to generate frightening scenarios from increasing levels of carbon dioxide have scant credibility. There is little debate that the direct effects of doubling carbon dioxide concentrations would be very small, perhaps 1 to 2 C of warming. To generate alarming scenarios, computer modelers must invent positive feedback mechanisms that increase the greenhouse effect of water vapor, which is responsible for over 90 percent of greenhouse warming. Observations indicate that the feedback is very small and may actually be negative. Changes in atmospheric water vapor and cloud cover may diminish, not increase, the small direct effects of carbon dioxide,” he concluded.

IMF / WORLD BANK DESTROYING COUNTRIES

December 23, 2008

Editor: This just in via an email. Comments please.

IMF / WORLD BANK DESTROYING COUNTRIES

The World Bank – IMF is owned and controlled by NM Rothschild and 30 to 40 of the wealthiest people in the world. For over 150 years they have planned to take the world over through money. The former chief economist of the World Bank, Joe Stiglitz, was fired recently. He pointed out to top executives that every country the IMF/World Bank got involved in ended up with a crashed economy, a destroyed government, and sometimes in flames with riots. Jim Wolfensen, the president of the World Bank would not comment on his dismissal.

Before Joe Stiglitz was fired he took a large stack of secret documents out of the World Bank. These secret documents from the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund reveal that the IMF required nations:

1. to sign secret agreements of 111 items

2. in which they agreed to sell off their key assets – water, electric, gas, etc.

3. in which they agreed to take economic steps which are really devastating to the nations involved

4. in which they pay off the politicians billions of dollars to Swiss bank accounts to do this transfer of a countries fixed assets

If they do not agree to these steps they are cut-off from all international borrowing. Today if can’t borrow money in the international marketplace, no one can survive, whether you are people or corporations or countries. If that does not work they overthrow the government and plant lies about the former government and/or even rewrite history.

The Argentina Plan

Inside documents from Argentina show the secret Argentine plan. This is signed by Jim Wolfensen, the president of the World Bank. Argentina has had six presidents in five weeks because their economy is completely destroyed. This happened because they started out in the end of the 80s with orders from the IMF and World Bank to sell-off all their assets, public assets, like their water system. Then they taxed the people. They created big government and big government handed it off to the private IMF/World Bank. They pay off the politicians billions in Swiss bank accounts.

The Enron Connection

The water system of Buenos Aires was sold off for a song to a company called Enron. A pipeline was sold off, that runs between Argentina and Chile, was sold off to a company called Enron. Then the globalists blow out Enron after transferring the assets to another dummy corporation..

They come in, pay off politicians to transfer the water systems, the railways, the telephone companies, the nationalized oil companies, gas stations – the politicians then hand it over to the IMF for nothing. The Globalists pay them off individually, billions a piece in Swiss bank accounts. The plan is total slavery for the entire population. Enron is a dummy corporation for money laundering, drug money, etc.

IMF Planed Riots

The IMF/World Bank are systematically tearing nations apart, whether it’s Ecuador or ArgentinaIt’s not privatization. They steal it from the people and hand it over to the IMF/World Bank. They hand it over, generally to the cronies, like Citibank grabbed half the Argentine banks. British Petroleum grabbed pipelines in Ecuador. Enron grabbed water systems all over the place. The problem is that they are destroying these systems as well. You can’t even get drinking water in Buenos Aires. It is not just a question of the theft. You can’t turn on the tap. It is more than someone getting rich at the public expense. And the IMF just got handed the Great Lakes. They have the sole control over the water supply now. The IMF and the World Bank is 51% owned by the United States TreasuryIndonesia is in flames.

Every country IMF/World Bank meddling in they destroyed their economy and they ended up in flames. They even plan in the riots. They know that when they squeeze a country and destroy its economy, you get riots in the streets. And they admit that it an IMF riot. Because you have riot, all the capital runs away from your country and that gives the opportunity for the IMF to then add more conditions.

California Utilities & Enron

It is really an imperial economy war to implode countries and now they are doing it here with Enron. They are getting so greedy – they are preparing it for America. The chief investigators of Enron for the State of California said that that it’s not just the stockholders that got ripped off. They sucked millions, billions of dollars out of the public pocket in Texas and California in particular. Where are the assets? See, everybody says there are no assets left since Enron was a dummy corporation – from the experts I’ve had on and they transferred all those assets to other corporations and banks. You did pay California’s electric bills according to the investigations, they are telling me that they were pumped up unnecessarily by 9 to 12-billion dollars. And I don’t know who they are going to get it back from now. Well they actually caught the Governor buying it for $137 per megawatt and selling it back to Enron for $1 per megawatt and doing it over and over and over again.

Enron’s Auditor – Lord Wakeham

The men who designed the system in California for deregulation then went to work for Enron right after. Lord Wakeham, who was on the audit committee of Enron, is the head of NM Rothschild. There isn’t anything that he doesn’t have his fingers in. He’s on something like fifty Boards. And he was supposed to be head of the audit committee watching how Enron kept the books. In fact, they were paying him consulting fees on the side. He was in Margaret Thatcher’s government and he’s the one who authorized Enron to come into Britain and take over power plants in Britain. Enron owned a water system in the middle of England. This is what Lord Wakeham approved and then they gave him a job on the board. On top of being on the board, they gave him a huge consulting contract. Lord Wakeham is supposed to be in charge of the audit committee to see how they were handling their accounts, but he is also the head of the board to regulate the media. Lord Wakeham is trying to pass laws in England where you can’t own your own water. He can’t be touched because he regulates the media.

Rothschild and the Illuminati

Burrow into NM Rothschild, you’ll find it all there. The IMF/World Bank implosion, four points, how they bring down a country and destroy the resources of the people. First you open up the capital markets. That is, you sell off your local banks to foreign banks. Then you go to what’s called market-based pricing. That’s the stuff like in California where everything is free market and you end up with water bills no one can pay. Then open up your borders to trade – complete free marketeering. Its like the opium wars. This isn’t free trade; this is coercion trade. This is war. They are taking apart economies through this. China has a 40% tariff on the USA, but the USA has a 2% on them. That’s not free and fair trade. It’s to force all industry into a country that the globalists fully control, and they control China.

Wal-Mart

The Illuminati owns Wal-Mart and Wal-Mart has 700 plants in China. There is almost nothing in a Walmart store that comes from the United States of America, despite all the eagles on the wall. They have big flags saying “Buy American” and there’s hardly anything from America in their stores. What’s even worst is they will hire a factory and right next to it will be the sister factory which is inside a prison. You can imagine the conditions of these workers producing this lovely stuff for Walmart.

Briberization

Sell off the water company and that’s worth, over ten years, let’s say about 5 billion dollars, ten percent of that is 500 million. A Senator from Argentina said that he got a call from George W. Bush in 1988 saying give the gas pipeline in Argentina to Enron. Enron was going to pay one-fifth of the world’s price for their gas and he said how can you make such an offer? The answer was that if they only pay one-fifth that leaves quit a little bit for you to go in your Swiss bank account. This is the same George W. Bush who said he didn’t get to know Ken Lay of Enron until 1994. Now they are having these white-wash hearings. Bill Clinton, to get even with Bush’s big donor, cut Enron out of the California power market. He put a cap on the prices they could charge. They couldn’t charge more than one-hundred times the normal price for electricity. That upset Enron. So Ken Lay personally wrote a note to Dick Cheney saying get rid of Clinton’s cap on prices. Within 48 hours of George W. Bush taking office, his energy department reversed the clamps on Enron.

Step Two

Argentina is an example of step two of the IMF.
A fifth of the population of Argentina is unemployed, and they said cut the unemployment benefits drastically, take away pension funds, cut the education budgets. Now if you cut the economy in the middle of a recession (created by the IMF), you absolutely demolish the nation.

You don’t start cutting the budget in a recession, you start spending money to stimulate the economy. You don’t raise taxes, you cut them. But they tell these countries you’ve got to cut, and cut, and cut. And why, according to the inside documents, it’s so you can make payments to foreign banks – the foreign banks are collecting 21% to 70% interest. This is loan-sharking. If fact, it was so bad that they required Argentina to get rid of the laws against loan-sharking because any bank would be a loan-shark under Argentine law.

Part 3 and Part 4.

Then they open up the borders for trade, that’s the new opium wars. They destroy an economy so that it can not produce anything, and then open the borders to sell their own goods. They force nations to pay horrendous amounts for things like drugs – legal drugs. That’s how you end up with an illegal drug trade. What’s there left to survive on except sell us smack and crack. And so, drive the whole world down, blow out their economies and then buy the rest of it up for pennies on the dollar. What’s Part 4 of the IMF/World Bank Plan?

In Part 4, they take apart of the government by the coup d’etat and they install their own corporate government. In Venezuela where they have an elected president of the government, the IMF has announced that they would support a transition government if the president were removed. They are not saying that they are going to get involved in politics – they would just support a transition government. What that effectively is is saying we will pay for the coup d’etat, if the military overthrows the current president, because the current president of Venezuela has said no to the IMF. He told those guys to go packing. They brought their teams in and said you have to do this and that. And he said, I don’t have to do anything. He said what I’m going to do is double the taxes on oil corporations because we have a whole lot of oil in Venezuela. And I’m going to double the taxes on oil corporations and then I will have all the money I need for social programs and the government – and we will be a very rich nation. Well, as soon as he did that, they started fomenting trouble with the military and watch this because the President of Venezuela will be out of office in three months or shot dead. They are not going to allow him to raise taxes on the oil companies.

Bush Administration Signals End to Open Government

1) The Bush administration invoked executive privilege to keep Clinton-era documents secret. The move shocked Republican lawmakers. Why would Bush want to cover up for Bill Clinton? Representative Dan Burton, who is the Chairman of the House Government Reform Committee, even threatened to hold Bush in contempt of Congress unless he releases several sets of subpoenaed Justice Department documents that he has hidden. It does not matter. Bush promises to never comply with congressional investigators. Bush is determined to keep Clinton’s crimes concealed.

2) Bush flatly refuses to hand over records of internal energy task force meetings. These records could either incriminate or exonerate Bush and Vice President Dick Cheney regarding allegations of conflict of interest in the
Enron scandal. Even the General Accounting Office is suing the White House (a first) to obtain the records. Again, Bush refuses to comply. The president is even willing to ignore court orders demanding the release of documents.

3) Just this week, the United States Government’s top lawyer told the U.S. Supreme Court that officials have the right to lie to American citizens. No, he did not explain how that assertion jives with Bush’s Christian testimony.

4) Two days ago, the White House ordered all federal agencies to delete their web sites of all “sensitive information.” The White House did not say what information it considered “sensitive.”

5) Vice President Cheney is already the stealthiest Vice President in U.S. history. Seldom does anyone know where he is or what he is doing.

6) President Bush admitted to forming a mysterious “shadow government” comprised of unknown persons who are living in underground bunkers at secret sites outside Washington, D.C. Not even top legislators know who these
people are or what instructions have been given them. Furthermore, how does a “shadow government” mesh with the U.S. Constitution? These questions have never been (and never will be) answered.

When asked by a reporter about these and other matters, Bush said, “I have a duty to protect the executive branch from legislative encroachment.” Congress, for the most part, only learns of Bush’s clandestine carryings-on as brief sketches leak out in the press.

However, none of this seems to bother the American people or members of the press. Bush is a wartime president (even though no one officially declared war) and, therefore, can do anything he pleases with total impunity. In truth, the Bush administration signals the end to both open government and constitutional government – and few people seem to even notice.

Congress has decided to silence you, me, and any other Christian who dares express a moral view that may impact a political campaign! The U.S. House of Representatives and the Senate have both passed a so-called “campaign finance reform” bill … and now President Bush has said he will sign it into law! In spite of all the propaganda in the media, this legislation actually silences Christian and conservative organizations – banning them from commenting on key moral issues during election campaigns … while allowing the liberal media to speak out freely.

This new law is a SLAP IN THE FACE to our right to free speech. It is absolutely, blatantly UNCONSTITUTIONAL!

* This legislation effectively strips church and conservative leaders and organizations of religious free speech during elections.

* For me or any other conservative spokesperson to comment and inform you with a Christian perspective would be illegal … and the threat of jail a reality!

* Even your own pastor cannot inform you on key political and moral issues when it comes time to vote!

So where will you get all your information about the political and moral views of candidates? FROM THE BIASED, SECULAR MEDIA!

Global Warming the Big LIE!

December 21, 2008

R J Stephens

Why do the global warming fanatics keep pushing the lie?

Global warming was the vehicle chosen to push for a New World Order. It was chosen as ‘the common enemy’ because –  without a common enemy to fight – you have no reason to give up your rights and they (the UN)  lose their power over you.

That’s why they keep pushing-  regardless of  how obvious the lie has become.

Instead of bombing us into submission – the idea was to use concern for the  environment and our very survival as a species as a way to get the population to succumb to their wishes.

Throughout history fear has been used as a motivating factor- used by the elites to get the masses to follow their agenda. Global Warming is just another example of the use of fear.

Are you prepared to give up your rights because of  a false FEAR?

Below are a few links to recent stories on Global Warming and the ramifications for you and your family if you decide to remain asleep.

Our own governments are doing everything in their power to help in the creation of the NWO

Climate experts get key US posts

Prof John Holdren (file image)

Mr Holdren says climate change is already causing widespread harm

US President-elect Barack Obama has nominated two leading global warming specialists for key science posts in his administration.

Harvard physicist John Holdren will be Mr Obama’s scientific adviser while marine biologist Jane Lubchenco will head the US oceanic research body.

Both have advocated greater government action on climate change.

Their appointments have been seen as a sign of Mr Obama’s commitment to tackling environmental issues.

In his weekly address, Mr Obama said that “today, more than ever before, science holds the key to our survival as a planet and our security and prosperity as a nation”.

He said it was “time we once again put science at the top of our agenda” and that he was confident that the US could “lead the world into a new future of peace and prosperity”.

‘Respectful’

Mr Holdren was described by Mr Obama as “one of the most passionate and persistent voices of our time about the growing threat of climate change”.

Jane Lubchenco

Ms Lubchenco has criticised the Bush administration’s scientific policies

He has said that climate change is already causing widespread harm and has called for a more robust government response.

Mr Holdren will become director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the co-chair of the Council of Advisers on Science and Technology.

He will share the latter post with Nobel Prize-winning scientist Harold Varmus and Eric Lander, a specialist in human genome research.

Mr Lander’s appointment has been seen as an indication of Mr Obama’s willingness to break from President George Bush’s resistance to genetic research.

Meanwhile, Ms Lubchenco will direct the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) which monitors global weather patterns and ocean currents.

She had criticised the Bush administration earlier this year for not being “respectful” of science.

“I am very much looking forward to a new administration that does respect scientific information and that considers it very seriously in making environmental policies,” she said.

Mr Obama, who takes office on 20 January, has now filled all the posts in the cabinet. However all nominees must still be vetted and approved by the Senate.

My 500th Post

December 20, 2008

To celebrate my 500th post I decided to re-post my first.

In my fist post I posed the Question – Are wind farms a scam.

After much research, time and effort, I can confidently answer my own question with a resounding YES.

Is global warming a scam as well?  – YES.

If you want to be ruled by unelected officials from the UN then embrace the scam.

If  you want freedom for your country you must  reject the UN – One World Order and One World Religion.

Get to work educating your friends and neighbors.

Why the big rush for wind power?

Which Green is it about?

Is it about Green energy or is it about the Green money?

I hoped it was about Green Energy but the more I investigate the matter the more it looks like it’s about the Green Money.

Roger Fuhr – A Fox in the Hen House!

December 20, 2008

I wondered why Mr. Fuhr was so vile in his response to WCO.  WCO asked his council to consider joining other councils asking for a health study before any more wind turbines are erected in Ontario.

Yesterday when this was posted I thought Mr. Fuhr was just misinformed.

NOW WE KNOW

Council Minutes, Jan 30, 2006 7:30 p.m.
Roger Fuhr and Tyler Moore, CEO of Permanent Power Solutions met with council to make a presentation on Wind Energy. Council asked questions of the presenters. Reeve McKay thanked them for coming and explaining this interesting concept. Council will give it some consideration when working on the building plans.

Here is the request sent to you and your council by WCO ( Wind Concerns Ontario)

Honorable Mayor and Councilors,

The Ontario Provincial government has mandated development of wind electrical generators across rural Ontario communities yet has set the entire process in motion with no guidelines or information given to the rural municipalities.
They have downloaded the entire responsiblity to small rural communities who do not have the resources to deal with this new and complex technology in regards to planning and protection of residential and sensitive wildlife areas.
In the past few weeks, several municipalities are beginning to question this and are now asking the province to take some responsibility if they are insisting on forcing this onto rural communities.  (Please click on each link to learn more on what these communities are doing.)
FACT:   The Province of Ontario has conducted NO epidemiology/health studies on wind turbines and human health nor have they consulted any in creating their policies.

FACT:   In comparison with other countries in the world, the province of Ontario is allowing some of the closest setbacks from homes and families.    This allows virtually no protection from any health, noise or flicker problems.

FACT:  The Province of Ontario has refused every request to date (appox 19) to conduct a full environmental assessment – only proponent driven “reviews” (basically checklists) with no independent confirmation or peer review.

FACT:   The Province of Ontario has relied on CanWEA, a consortium and industrial lobby group for 350 wind companies to obtain the majority of their pricing, policy and information in regards to siting.

FACT:  Families in Melanchon have been bought out of their homes and then made to sign gag orders to stop any complaints.   Families in Ripley have been evacuated from their homes due to dirty electricity and stray voltage due to industrial wind turbines.  There are also complaints from the Goderich and Port Burwell wind farms and most recently, Port Alma.

FACT:   The Province of Ontario has downloaded the entire responsiblity onto small rural municipalities who do not have the resources to deal with this new, complex issue.

WHY?    So the Provincial government will be blameless in the end.

We urge you to please follow the lead of Loyalist Township, Dawn-Emphemia Township, South Algonquin Township, Prince Edward County, the Township of Norwich, the Township of St. Clair, the Municipality of Essex and the Municipality of Leamington in sending a message to the provincial government  that this is unacceptable.
No one but YOU the rural municipal Councilors and Mayors have the power to act.
Respectfully,
Maureen Anderson

Sent to WCO website:
I am absolutely shocked to read so many comments here that are, quite frankly, totally irresponsible. Its hard to imagine how many people suffer from NIMBY in this province. Also difficult to believe that so many are in denial still regarding climate change. I have an idea, lets go with safe nuclear power, its not like we are leaving any problems with future generations like byproducts that we can’t dispose of. And, lets build more of these plants in the backyards of those people who would not like to have wind generators. We could give them the option of a coal fired generator in their backyard if they don’t like the nuclear one. Is this a fairer solution to you power wasters out there?? Sincerely, Councillor Roger Fuhr, Township of Perth South, Ontario.
rfuhr@quadro.net

Dear Mr. Fuhr

To offer the alternative of a coal or nuclear generation in my backyard is clearly not an option our provincial gov’t is imposing on myself and my neighbours having to face Industrial Wind Development.  What is being forced upon us,  is  plain and simply several  400 ft structures that are causing Vibroacoustic disease among residents living within 2 km of these behemoths. Have a look at Ripley, Goderich, Shelburne and now Melancthon.   In addition because there is no good regulation that can help municipalities site these fans on a stick properly,  wind developers are getting away with undersized transmission design which are leading stray voltage and dirty electricity into people’s homes.  The symptoms are described as living in a microwave.   I can see from your sarcasm you would boil that down to the NIMBY syndrome without so much as an effort to investigate for yourself. I’ve been to visit these people and it’s nothing short of a train wreck.

If the health issues are not enough for you,  how about sinking taxpayers dollars into an unreliable, non dispatchable, inefficient, miniscule amount of energy all to the tune of 2.5 x the going electricity rates.   In turn,  there will be not one fossil fuel generating plant closed nor will we gain  on the GHG emissions.  Looks like  your wish for us NIMBY’s to face a coal generating plant my happen anyway just like Germany is presently doing with 26 new coal generating plants despite having the largest penetration of wind energy.

We all want to do good things for our world, our families our communities our environment.  At first glance wind seems to fit in with these good intentions.  But now is the time to stop with the ideology and put good hard numbers and investigate this before it goes too far and hurts exactly what we are all trying our darndest to protect.
I beg of you Mr. Fuhr, stop accusing us of being NIMBY’s.  We are all deeply concerned citizens that are facing the challenge of a lifetime as well as a very real threat.
Colette McLean
Essex County landowner facing the threat of 30 turbines all within 2 km of my home.

Dear Ms. McLean:  I sincerely apologize for any offense taken by you for my comments. There certainly was no intent there to do so.  While I do not consider myself to be an expert in the field, your comment regarding lack of effort to investigate is absolutely not true.  I have been educating myself for almost 5 years now regarding such issues. I, for one, view the installations at Shelburne and etc. as beautiful projects indicating our desire to become responsible users of power.

Vibrocaustic disease is, in my opinion, not a proven fact,  and even if it was, it pales in comparison to the effects of nuclear accidents. I’m sure you have viewed the effects of the meltdown of the reactor at Chernobyl.  Which medical issues do you view as being worse?  I do not know of anyone who would want a nuclear reactor in their back yard.  And, I view the issue of leaving nuclear waste behind for future generations to deal with as absolutely irresponsible in every way, shape and form.  How long do you think it will be before these wastes poison our water, land, and whatever other resources that we do not own, but simply borrow from our children, would you like some of this heavy water in your well? Living near hydro lines of any type has been an issue for years, I’m sure you know that homes are not allowed to be built close to such transmission lines.  Why do you think that is, perhaps because wind generators cause this?  No, it is because electricity in the forms we produce it and move it, is not a natural occurence which is yet another example of how man abuses nature.

Do you have a microwave oven in your home?  Do you use it or ever eat food cooked in a microwave? Do you believe that such food is safe for human consumption?  If yes to any of these, then you are already near to, and consuming microwaved foods.  Are you prepared to ban microwave ovens from society?

Wind developers are hooking their equipment into one of the most antiquated transmission systems in the developed world, and so are generating devices of all kinds, such as coal, nuclear, hydro and etc.  It is the fault of our provincial government that our transmission system has been allowed to be outdated, despite the billions of dollars that have been poured into the grid over the decades.  Some of this investment has been absolutely wasted on such things as drastic cost overruns to build nuclear plants and also millions of dollars to get rid of executives within hydro one and related firms.  Are you pleased to be paying a debt retirement fee on your power bill?  Do you believe that any business should be allowed to make such charges to their customers?  The behemoths known as Hydro One, OPA, OPG and whatever other derivitives the provincial goverment can come up with, are totally dysfunctional organizations in every sense of the word.

Regarding electricity rates, I surely hope you understand that our power bills have been being subsidized by taxpayers for decades now.  Do you believe that the cost to produce electricity is 5.3 cents per killowatt hour?  If you do, try dividing your entire power bill by the number of kilowatt hours that you have purchased, this should be an indication for you of how they hide the actual cost of power.  I believe the actual cost of electricity should be paid up front, and that this actual cost of production is most certainly in excess of 15 cents per kilowatt hour.  Nuclear production of power easily exceeds that cost.  Even solar power, one of the cleanest ways to produce electricity, has been granted a 42 cent per kilowatt hour rate by the Ontario government.  Surely you must be able to deduce that 5.3 cents a kilowatt hour in no way, shape or form, accurately represents the cost of production.
I have to admit, that I am unaware of any such new coal fired plants being built in Germany and I would ask you to provide me with proof of such, I simply find this difficult to believe.  Is there a reputable website that you can refer me to so that I might research this myself please?  I know that Germany is a world leader in renewable energy, a model that we should be using in my opinion, so I will need to be convinced that this is actually true. If it is, I will surely want to research the reasons why they are doing this, have you done so?
In closing Ms. McLean, I want you to know that my comments here are not directed at you or any specific group.  Rather, this is entirely directed at the Provincial Government.  Successive governments have been irresponsible in matters of power production, transmission and management thereof.  It is time for us to stop downloading our problems onto future generations, it sickens me to think that we cannot as a society, be responsible for our own power needs without leaving a legacy of pollution, debt and perhaps total environmental disasters.  I beg not only you, but all members of the human race to start being responsible for the power that you use, or to stop using power.  Stop wasting it, conserve, educate yourself, commit acts of green.  But above all, please stop the propaganda machine that I believe the wind concerns website represents.  Contact a scientist to get their opinion instead.

Dear Ms. McLean:  I sincerely apologize for any offense taken by you for my comments. And yet you continue through  this message to further expound hugely offensive and ill informed statements. There certainly was no intent there to do so.  I beg to differ on this one.  While I do not consider myself to be an expert in the field, your comment regarding lack of effort to investigate is absolutely not true. My condemnation here is meant for politicians such as yourself who have the responsibility and the power to protect the residents of their municipality or county,  to find out from other areas in Ontario what is going on now with wind development.  We are going into our 4th year of wind,  and for some reason even local politicians are not investigating and are actually ignoring their residents who are suffering. I have been educating myself for almost 5 years now regarding such issues. I, for one, view the installations at Shelburne and etc. as beautiful projects indicating our desire to become responsible users of power. This is the problem,  wind turbines are only a symbol of our desires, not a real solution

Vibrocaustic disease is, in my opinion, not a proven fact, and because of your power to make this decision, based on exactly what kind of epidemiological experience?  low frequency noise generated by wind turbines (all it takes is a dBC scale reading to determine) affects people. That is a proven fact (check the World Health Organization site ) whether you want to call it VAD or Wind Turbine Syndrome.  www.windturbinesyndrome.org Until  we have a full epidemiological study no one will ever know the true extent of this issue.

and even if it was, it pales in comparison to the effects of nuclear accidents.  I’m sure you have viewed the effects of the meltdown of the reactor at Chernobyl.  When was the last time you heard of such a incident in Ontario after 50 years of Nuclear. Which medical issues do you view as being worse?   The choice is not between wind or nuclear, because wind will never be able to replace nuclear. Besides I thought wind was meant to replace fossil fuels?? in order to decrease GHG emissions.  Nuclear as you know does not contribute to GHG. Again how is wind going to address this issue in any significant way? Living near hydro lines of any type has been an issue for years, I’m sure you know that homes are not allowed to be built close to such transmission lines. and yet throughout the county I see houses within less than 500 m. Why do you think that is, perhaps because wind generators cause this?  No, it is because electricity in the forms we produce it and move it, is not a natural occurrence which is yet another example of how man abuses nature.  Are you suggesting we stop generating electricity??  You are not understanding my comment,  because of wind installations,  the issue of stray voltage and dirty electricity has become more of an issue. These installations are undersized and poorly designed and because wind developers need to hand over the transmission to Ontario Hydro (since they are  responsible now for the maintenance of this transmission system),  wind developers (the generating company) can walk away blaming the transmission problems on Ontario Hydro.

Do you have a microwave oven in your home? Yes Do you use it or ever eat food cooked in a microwave? Yes Do you believe that such food is safe for human consumption? Yes If yes to any of these, then you are already near to, and consuming microwaved foods.  Are you prepared to ban microwave ovens from society? No,  I  don’t object to using a microwave but I  have issues to living in one.  Your line of questions I find completely patronizing and irrelevant to the issues raised.

Some of this investment has been absolutely wasted on such things as drastic cost overruns (based on  concerns from citizens who oppose Nuclear, which pushed the gov’t to stop and start these projects over and over again I thought you were talking about the transmission system not the building of generating plants??? to build nuclear plants and also millions of dollars to get rid of executives within hydro one and related firms.  Are you pleased to be paying a debt retirement fee on your power bill? So are you saying that if I agree to wind development this will all go away? Do you believe that any business should be allowed to make such charges to their customers?  The behemoths known as Hydro One, OPA, OPG and whatever other derivatives the provincial government can come up with, are totally dysfunctional organizations in every sense of the word.  Again if I say yes to wind development,  will the dysfunction go away?  Mr. Fuhr,  you are simply getting side tracked by a very convoluted argument and problem.  I never said we didn’t have problems with our energy industry in Ontario but I just can’t see how wind is going to solve any of what you mention,  In fact,  I can see wind is only going to complicate things as well as increase the cost to us as consumers.  My latest hydro bill just announced that the recent increases where due, in part,  conservation measures and renewable projects.

I also know that Darlington and Pickering are being paid 3 cents per KW and they manage to pay all of their expenses, (including thousands of employees) and still maintain a profit.  Again,  if I say yes to wind development will my electrical bill go down? or am I at least guaranteed that it will not go up because of wind development? I believe the actual cost of electricity should be paid up front, and that this actual cost of production is most certainly in excess of 15 cents per kilowatt hour.  Seems to me you were just saying we were paying the actual cost, but it’s actually hidden in other charges. Nuclear production of power easily exceeds that cost.  Even solar power, one of the cleanest ways to produce electricity, has been granted a 42 cent per kilowatt hour rate by the Ontario government.  All because of solar’s cost of production will not allow even the 15 cents to be profitable. Surely you must be able to deduce that 5.3 cents a kilowatt hour in no way, shape or form, accurately represents the cost of production.   Therefore is it all right to continue to subsidize an industry for 20 years in order to maintain it’s profitability and in turn provide minuscule amounts of energy???
I have to admit, that I am unaware of any such new coal fired plants being built in Germany and I would ask you to provide me with proof of such, I simply find this difficult to believe.  I believe Muzzco Inc. sent you the references.  Is there a reputable website that you can refer me to so that I might research this myself please?  www.windaction.org I know that Germany is a world leader in renewable energy, a model that we should be using in my opinion, so I will need to be convinced that this is actually true. If it is, I will surely want to research the reasons why they are doing this, have you done so? The wind developers tell us that it is because Germany wants to make money selling electricity.  In the case of Alberta,  a new gas generated plant was introduced last year  specifically because of the large influx of wind they allowed onto their grid.

In closing Ms. McLean, I want you to know that my comments here are not directed at you or any specific group.  Did you not direct your response to Wind Concerns Ontario,  a group of 26 affiliates all across Ontario of concerned citizens, who are fighting for their lives with not so much as any kind of financial support other than out of pocket expenses for flyers, Internet services travel etc.  Rather, this is entirely directed at the Provincial Government.  Than I would suggest you direct your letter to Minister George Smitherman and Dalton McGuinty and not me or to Wind Concerns Ontario. Does this mean you want to shut down hospitals,  nursing homes,  manufacturing where people earn their living?  Can you explain to me how I am suppose to stiop using power?? Stop wasting it, conserve, educate yourself, commit acts of green.  But above all, please stop the propaganda machine that I believe the wind concerns website represents.  Contact a scientist to get their opinion instead.  I would suggest the same to you Mr Fuhr. Our groups has among us scientist, engineers, doctors and lawyers,  all expressing the same concerns about wind development.  We are not against initiatives that help improve wise use of energy, reduction of GHG emissions, or renewable energy sources.  We are seeking from people like yourself,  who have the power to make the decisions with regards to policy,  to make these decisions based on good science,  not ideology.

Simply wow, it is an extremely rare occurence to find a group of such narrow-minded, uninformed people as this.  After all the emails I have received in return, not in even ONE of them is a solution suggested other than, “I love nuclear and all of its poisons and risks”.  You people remind me of that group of individuals who ran around in, if memory serves, about the 17th – 18th century destroying machines of all types that people had built because they thought it would cost them their jobs if these machines were allowed to survive.  I am simply floored. I can see that there is no way to discuss this logically with any of you.  I do have a solution for you though, but guess what, you won’t like it. Hmmmm isn’t that odd,, offering solutions, what a concept huh?  SELL YOUR PROPERTIES, GET OUT OF DODGE, LIVE SOMEWHERE WHERE THERE IS NO WIND, hence no possibility of wind generators. Maybe right beside one of those cozy nuclear cancer causing generators that you all love so much. Shocked, (l’il pun there),,,,, You have certainly assisted me in my determination to spread the truth on this subject,, Thank you,,,,

Mr. Fuhr – after reading this exchange, in which you acknowledge your lack of knowledge on the subject, you should hang your head in shame.

But if you did, your turbine might fall off your head – and we wouldn’t want that.

At the very least you should offer a heart felt apology to the people you have gone out of your way to offend. You might also want to consider resigning. You have embarrassed your community.

I guess Al Gore will end up in China with his mentor and business partner Maurice Strong.

The lie that is Global Warming has been, is being and will continue to be exposed.

Every weatherman has been saying global warming and climate change at every opportunity for years.

Kingsville as partner in anti-wind farm fight

December 17, 2008

Leamington council plans to ask Kingsville to join it in hiring a consultant to object to offshore wind turbines proposed for Lake Erie.

Leamington Mayor John Adams said council had a large delegation of residents in 2006 who were opposed to the offshore turbines. At that time, council said it was opposed to the offshore wind farm.

“We certainly support the residents even now,” Adams said Tuesday.

Council agreed Monday to forward its questions to the Ministry of Environment, meet with the developer and see if Kingsville is interested in hiring a consultant.

A report to Leamington council Monday listed some of the concerns and questions for the developer. The first was the proximity to Point Pelee National Park, bird and bat migration and the impact on fish.

The report said residents were also concerned about the potential impacts on tourism, cottaging, recreation, aesthetics and views.

Leamington wants to know the exact location of the turbines, their height above water level and the air and noise impacts.

The issue has a long history. After residents opposed the proposal, the provincial government put a moratorium on offshore wind developments in November 2006 until they could be studied. By January 2008, the moratorium was lifted.

Adams said the consultant’s report will come back to council next year and council will likely hold a public meeting. Although the municipality is only a consulting agency, because the development would be on Crown land, the towns do have some control over granting easements to run powerlines on land.

“That’s where the municipalities would have a bigger say in whether to allow it or not,” Adams said. “Right at this point, I would say they would not allow it.”

In January, Kingsville council reaffirmed its opposition to offshore wind turbines. Since both councils were meeting Monday night, Kingsville council has not had a chance to deal with Leamington’s request.
