Greenpeace Choking on its Own Bullshit!

August 20, 2009

Greenpeace leader Gerd Leipold has been forced to admit that his organization issued misleading and exaggerated information when it claimed that Arctic ice would disappear completely by 2030, in a crushing blow for the man-made global warming movement.

In an interview with the BBC’s Stephen Sackur on the “Hardtalk” program, Leipold initially attempted to evade the question but was ultimately forced to admit that Greenpeace had made a “mistake” when it said Arctic ice would disappear completely in 20 years.

The claim stems from a July 15 Greenpeace press release entitled “Urgent Action Needed As Arctic Ice Melts,” in which it is stated that global warming will lead to an ice-free Arctic by 2030.

Sackur accused Leipold and Greenpeace of releasing “misleading information” based on “exaggeration and alarmism,” pointing out that it was “preposterous” to claim that the Greenland ice sheet, a mass of 1.6 million square kilometers with a thickness of 3 km in the middle that has survived much warmer periods in history, would completely melt when it had stood firm for hundreds of thousands of years.

UK e-mail law ‘attack on rights’

By Angus Crawford

Service providers will have to store information for 12 months

Rules forcing internet companies to keep details of every e-mail sent in the UK are a waste of money and an attack on civil liberties, critics say.

From March all Internet Service Providers (ISPs) will by law have to keep information about every e-mail sent or received in the UK for a year.

The government will pay the ISPs more than £25m to ensure work runs smoothly.

‘Fundamental right’

The Earl of Northesk, a Conservative peer on the House of Lords science and technology committee, said it meant anyone’s movements could be traced 24 hours a day.

“This degree of storage is equivalent to having access to every second, every minute, every hour of your life,” he said.

Implementing the EC directive will enable UK law enforcement to benefit fully from historical communications data
Home Office

“People have to worry about the scale, the virtuality of your life being exposed to round about 500 public authorities.

“Under Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, privacy is a fundamental right… it is important to protect the principle of privacy because once you’ve lost it it’s very difficult to recover.”

The Home Office said the data was a vital tool for investigation and intelligence gathering.

“It will allow investigators to identify suspects, examine their contacts, establish relationships between conspirators and place them in a specific location at a certain time.

“Implementing the EC directive will enable UK law enforcement to benefit fully from historical communications data in increasingly complex investigations and will enhance our national security.”

Reports have suggested the government has even bigger plans for data retention.

They could involve one central database, gathering details on every text sent, e-mail sent, phone call made and website visited.

Consultation on the plans is due to open later this year.

Coolest Since 2000

December 16, 2008

Editor:
You have to laugh at the global warming movement – until you realize what they are up to.

The destruction of the industrialized world, depopulation and carbon tax for all is the goal.

Anyway this story says that natural climate is at work – but it’s masking the real threat of global warming.
Another load of bunk from the BBC/UN NWO elitists.

Winter brought unfamiliarly cold weather to large swathes of Europe

The world in 2008 has been cooler than at any time since the turn of the century, scientists say.

Cooling La Nina conditions in the Pacific brought temperatures down to levels last seen in the year 2000.

The World Meteorological Organization (WMO) notes that temperatures remained about 0.3C above the 1961-1990 average.

Computer models suggest that natural cycles may cool the Earth’s surface in the next few years, masking the warming impact of rising greenhouse gas levels.

Fears winter death toll may rise

November 27, 2008

Editor: If you still think MMGW is a real and imminent danger – please give your head a shake. The warming cycle flat-lined in 1998 and we are now heading into a cooling cycle.

The global warming fear-mongers should be rounded up and jailed. The IPCC is a political body – not a scientific one.

If it were a scientific body, the IPCC would have been open to the input of the tens of thousands of scientists that are critiquing their conclusions.

Instead they refuse to accept any criticism or allow any debate on the subject. That refusal should set off alarm bells in the minds of all thinking people.

The IEA (International Energy Agency) via the UN wants to control and restrict the use of energy and through the IWRM (Integrated Water Resources Management) control and restrict the use of water.

They also want to control and restrict food via FAOSTAT (Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations)

They already control the minds of the children via UNESCO (United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization)

In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill …All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome.
The real enemy, then, is humanity itself

Fears winter death toll may rise

Elderly man

The number of winter deaths rose last year

Fears are being raised there could be a jump in the winter death toll.

An Age Concern poll of 2,300 people found many over 60s were worried about being able to heat their homes because of soaring energy prices.

And with one of the coldest winters for some years predicted, the charity said the death toll could rise.

It comes after figures for England and Wales suggested there was a 7% jump in extra deaths last year despite a relatively mild winter.

The Office for National Statistics estimates said from December 2007 to March 2008 there were an extra 25,300 deaths in England and Wales compared to the average for non-winter months.

With this winter set to be colder than last, the numbers are likely to rise
Gordon Lishman, Age Concern

However, the figure was still some way short of the extra deaths seen in the winters of the late 1990s when death tolls nearly hit 50,000 as flu swept around the country.

Nonetheless, the country still has one of the highest rates of winter deaths – ahead of the likes of Finland and Denmark which generally have colder winters.

Gordon Lishman, director general of Age Concern, said this was a scandal.

He added: “With this winter set to be colder than last, the numbers are likely to rise. Pensioners are clearly more worried about staying warm and well this year.

“Yet, the impact of increased energy bills is causing thousands to risk their health by cutting back on heating.”

Global Warming? No consensus on IPCC's level of ignorance

November 26, 2008

Editor: The IPCC was and is being used to push an agenda. Agenda 21.
How do I know Man Made Global Warming is a scam? All one has to do is open the mind and read a few passages.

Read the two quotes below. The first from the Club of Rome says they came up with the idea of global warming. The second shows the IPCC would make the science fit the idea.

No consensus on IPCC’s level of ignorance

John Christy
VIEWPOINT
By John Christy
Professor of Atmospheric Science, University of Alabama

As the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) puts the finishing touches to its final report of the year, two of its senior scientists look at what the panel is and how well it works. Here, a view from a leading researcher into temperature change.

AFP/Getty

Politicians wave goodbye to the IPCC’s objectivity, argues Dr Christy

The IPCC is a framework around which hundreds of scientists and other participants are organised to mine the panoply of climate change literature to produce a synthesis of the most important and relevant findings.

These findings are published every few years to help policymakers keep tabs on where the participants chosen for the IPCC believe the Earth’s climate has been, where it is going, and what might be done to adapt to and/or even adjust the predicted outcome.

While most participants are scientists and bring the aura of objectivity, there are two things to note:

  • this is a political process to some extent (anytime governments are involved it ends up that way)
  • scientists are mere mortals casting their gaze on a system so complex we cannot precisely predict its future state even five days ahead

The political process begins with the selection of the Lead Authors because they are nominated by their own governments.

Thus at the outset, the political apparatus of the member nations has a role in pre-selecting the main participants.

But, it may go further.

Unsound bites

At an IPCC Lead Authors’ meeting in New Zealand, I well remember a conversation over lunch with three Europeans, unknown to me but who served as authors on other chapters. I sat at their table because it was convenient.

After introducing myself, I sat in silence as their discussion continued, which boiled down to this: “We must write this report so strongly that it will convince the US to sign the Kyoto Protocol.”

Politics, at least for a few of the Lead Authors, was very much part and parcel of the process.

And, while the 2001 report was being written, Dr Robert Watson, IPCC Chair at the time, testified to the US Senate in 2000 adamantly advocating on behalf of the Kyoto Protocol, which even the journal Nature now reports is a failure.

Follow the herd

As I said above – and this may come as a surprise – scientists are mere mortals.

The tendency to succumb to group-think and the herd-instinct (now formally called the “informational cascade”) is perhaps as tempting among scientists as any group because we, by definition, must be the “ones who know” (from the Latin sciere, to know).

A scientist launches a weather balloon (copyright John Turner)

The Alabama team produces data on atmospheric temperatures collected by weather balloons

You dare not be thought of as “one who does not know”; hence we may succumb to the pressure to be perceived as “one who knows”.

This leads, in my opinion, to an overstatement of confidence in the published findings and to a ready acceptance of the views of anointed authorities.

Scepticism, a hallmark of science, is frowned upon. (I suspect the IPCC bureaucracy cringes whenever I’m identified as an IPCC Lead Author.)

Earth on course for eco 'crunch' -BBC World News

October 28, 2008

Editor: If you like bullshit you’ve got to love the WWF. They can churn it out faster than the average person can read it. And you have to love the BBC in the UK and the CBC in Canada. They take the bull and make sure it is spread far and wide.

Before you get to the story by the BBC read these excerpts from the Green Agenda There’s a coup taking place and most people don’t know it yet.

“A radical change from the current trajectory is required, a complete reordering of global society…”

“Humans only truly unite when faced with a powerful external enemy…”

“At this time a new enemy must be found, one either real or invented for the purpose…”

“Democracy has failed us, a new system of global governance, based on environmental imperatives, must be implemented quickly…”

Gaia, Global Warming, and Global Governance are intricately entwined, if one truly believes in Gaia, and that she is being fatally harmed by the current system, then a new system of global governance and control would appear to be the only answer. Global Warming provides the ideal ‘enemy’ to bring about this objective. It is easy for these global elitists to talk about sacrifice, wrenching transformation, population control and halving the use of fossil fuels but the implications are truely horrendous.

Even if you think this is all nonsense I would ask you to at least read these quotes and excerpts, and think about the implications of their agenda. Everyday I am amazed at how quickly things are changing. It is coming hard and fast. It’s almost like reading a book and then watching the television adaptation, except that this adaptation is not a movie – it’s on the evening news. As Al Gore said in the closing sentence of his statement after he won the Nobel Peace Prize … “This is just the beginning.”

When you look at the map below keep these quotes in mind

As David Rockefeller stated, “all we need is the right crisis”. Everything is now in place. They are just building momentum and waiting for the storm they know is coming. You don’t need to look in the shadows for the coming world government. It is standing right before your eyes. When they bring “order out of chaos” the United Nations will be transformed and the final global empire will be born.

Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse?

Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”

Maurice Strong, former Secretary General of UNEP

Reckless consumption comes at a high cost, the report warns

The planet is headed for an ecological “credit crunch”, according to a report issued by conservation groups.

The document contends that our demands on natural resources overreach what the Earth can sustain by almost a third.

The Living Planet Report is the work of WWF, the Zoological Society of London and the Global Footprint Network.

It says that more than three quarters of the world’s population lives in countries where consumption levels are outstripping environmental renewal.

This makes them “ecological debtors”, meaning that they are drawing – and often overdrawing – on the agricultural land, forests, seas and resources of other countries to sustain them.

Infographic (BBC)
The map shows hectares’ worth consumed in goods and services

The report concludes that the reckless consumption of “natural capital” is endangering the world’s future prosperity, with clear economic impacts including high costs for food, water and energy.

“If our demands on the planet continue to increase at the same rate, by the mid-2030s we would need the equivalent of two planets to maintain our lifestyles,” said WWF International director-general James Leape.

Warning sounded on web's future – Thought Police are on Way!

September 15, 2008

Wow!

I will no longer have to think for myself. Some ‘body of the super intelligent” will do my thinking for me. They will decide “the truth” I’m to believe. Am I to believe the BBC,CBC,Fox,CNN,etc?

Are these the organizations that I am to trust to give me the truth? or are they the ones to be marked as the spreaders of disinformation?

If you are out of work, you may find gainful employment with the “Ministry of Thought.”

Some feared firing up the LHC would doom the Earth

The internet needs a way to help people separate rumour from real science, says the creator of the World Wide Web.

Talking to BBC News Sir Tim Berners-Lee said he was increasingly worried about the way the web has been used to spread disinformation.

Sir Tim spoke prior to the unveiling of a Foundation he has co-created that aims to make the web truly worldwide.

It will also look at ways to help people decide if sites are trustworthy and reliable sources of information.

Future proof

Sir Tim talked to the BBC in the week in which Cern, where he did his pioneering work on the web, turned on the Large Hadron Collider for the first time.

The use of the web to spread fears that flicking the switch on the LHC could create a Black Hole that could swallow up the Earth particularly concerned him, he said. In a similar vein was the spread of rumours that the MMR vaccine given to children in Britain was harmful.

Sir Tim told BBC News that there needed to be new systems that would give websites a label for trustworthiness once they had been proved reliable sources.

“On the web the thinking of cults can spread very rapidly and suddenly a cult which was 12 people who had some deep personal issues suddenly find a formula which is very believable,” he said. “A sort of conspiracy theory of sorts and which you can imagine spreading to thousands of people and being deeply damaging.”

Shun meat, says UN climate chief

September 7, 2008

Editor:

Don’t sell you SUV just yet. According to IPCC cow farts and burps are a bigger threat to life on earth than vehicle emissions.

Global warming is a fabrication used as a means of control over you.

All the way through the story, the theme is for you to eat less meat.

In the end, Africa is to eat more meat.

Less gas? No.

More control over you by the UN is the goal.

SO……………………………………………… if you want a better world.

BAN THE GOD-DAMNED UN!

Livestock production has a bigger climate impact than transport, the UN believes

People should consider eating less meat as a way of combating global warming, says the UN’s top climate scientist.

Rajendra Pachauri, who chairs the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), will make the call at a speech in London on Monday evening.

UN figures suggest that meat production puts more greenhouse gases into the atmosphere than transport.

But a spokeswoman for the UK’s National Farmers’ Union (NFU) said methane emissions from farms were declining.

People may not realise that changing what’s on their plate could have an even bigger effect
Joyce D’Silva
Compassion in World Farming

Dr Pachauri has just been re-appointed for a second six-year term as chairman of the Nobel Prize-winning IPCC, the body that collates and evaluates climate data for the world’s governments.

“The UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) has estimated that direct emissions from meat production account for about 18% of the world’s total greenhouse gas emissions,” he told BBC News.

“So I want to highlight the fact that among options for mitigating climate change, changing diets is something one should consider.”

Climate of persuasion

The FAO figure of 18% includes greenhouse gases released in every part of the meat production cycle – clearing forested land, making and transporting fertiliser, burning fossil fuels in farm vehicles, and the front and rear end emissions of cattle and sheep.

Rajendra Pachauri, IPCC chairman

Dr Pachauri has chaired the Nobel Prize-winning body since 2002

The contributions of the three main greenhouse gases – carbon dioxide, methane and nitrous oxide – are roughly equivalent, the FAO calculates.

Transport, by contrast, accounts for just 13% of humankind’s greenhouse gas footprint, according to the IPCC.

Dr Pachauri will be speaking at a meeting organised by Compassion in World Farming (CIWF), whose main reason for suggesting people lower their consumption of meat is to reduce the number of animals in factory farms.

CIWF’s ambassador Joyce D’Silva said that thinking about climate change could spur people to change their habits.

“The climate change angle could be quite persuasive,” she said.

“Surveys show people are anxious about their personal carbon footprints and cutting back on car journeys and so on; but they may not realise that changing what’s on their plate could have an even bigger effect.”

Side benefits

Methane emissions from UK farms have fallen by 13% since 1990.

But the biggest source globally of carbon dioxide from meat production is land clearance, particularly of tropical forest, which is set to continue as long as demand for meat rises.

Ms D’Silva believes that governments negotiating a successor to the Kyoto Protocol ought to take these factors into account.

“I would like governments to set targets for reduction in meat production and consumption,” she said.

“That’s something that should probably happen at a global level as part of a negotiated climate change treaty, and it would be done fairly, so that people with little meat at the moment such as in sub-Saharan Africa would be able to eat more, and we in the west would eat less.”

US presidential hopeful Barack Obama has told crowds in Berlin that the US and Europe have drifted apart and it is time for them to come together again.

“If we’re honest… we know that sometimes, on both sides of the Atlantic, we have drifted apart and forgotten our shared destiny,” he said.

At least 200,000 people heard the Democratic Party candidate make the only public speech of his world tour.

His words were broadcast live in Germany, where he is a popular figure.

The burdens of global citizenship continue to bind us together
Barack Obama

Mr Obama began his speech by paying tribute to the Berliners who held out against Soviet pressure during the blockade in 1948.

Appealing for a renewed partnership with Europe, he identified terrorism, nuclear proliferation, trade barriers and climate change as global challenges.

‘Intertwined world’

“While the 20th Century taught us that we share a common
destiny, the 21st has revealed a world more intertwined than at any
time in human history,” Mr Obama said.

The crowd waits for Mr Obama's speech in Berlin

Thousands turned out for the speech

“In Europe, the view that America is part of what has gone wrong in
our world, rather than a force to help make it right, has become all
too common,” he continued.

“In America, there are voices that deride and deny the importance of Europe’s role in our security and our future.

“But the burdens of global citizenship continue to bind us together,” he added.

He said that partnership and co-operation among nations was “not a choice”.

“It is the one way, the only way, to protect our common security and advance our common humanity,” he argued.

'100 months to save the planet'

This is from the BBC. It is meant to scare you. It’s not based on sound science – just more blatant BULL.After you have read this I want you to read The Green Agenda, so you will understand the meaning of this article.

‘100 months to save the planet’

AP)

The group says the plans will be good for the environment and our pockets

A “Green New Deal” is needed to solve current problems of climate change, energy and finance, a report argues.

According to the Green New Deal Group, humanity only has 100 months to prevent dangerous global warming.

Its proposals include major investment in renewable energy and the creation of thousands of new “green collar” jobs.

The name is taken from President Franklin D Roosevelt’s “New Deal”,
launched 75 years ago to bring the US out of the Great Depression.

The new grouping says rising greenhouse gas emissions, combined
with escalating food and energy costs, mean the globe is facing one of
its biggest crises since the 1930s.

Its members include former Friends of the Earth UK director
Tony Juniper, Green MEP Caroline Lucas and Andrew Simms, policy
director of the New Economics Foundation (nef).

In an article for the BBC News website’s Green Room series, Mr
Simms warns that the combination of the current credit crunch, rising
energy prices and accelerating emissions are “conspiring to create the
perfect storm”.
