Call for record Opec output cut

December 17, 2008

Call for record Opec output cut

Saudi oil minister Ali al-Nuaimi

The Saudi oil minister wants non-members of Opec to cut output as well

Opec leaders are gathering in Algeria under pressure from Saudi Arabia to make their biggest ever single cut in output as prices plunge.

Saudi Arabia, the world’s largest oil producer, predicts the cartel will reduce production by a 2m barrels a day at its meeting.

Saudi oil minister Ali al-Nuaimi said he expected Opec non-members to cut output by 600,000 barrels per day.

Oil giant Russia, a non-member, will be represented at the meeting.

A combined cut of 2.6m barrels per day represents 3% of the global output.

Oil prices have slumped $100 from a peak of $147 a barrel in July, as demand weakened amid the downturn.

Expectation is high that oil producers are ready for co-ordinated actions to boost crude prices.

IMF head calls for extra funding – We've Been Robbed!

November 17, 2008

Editor: My opinion on the bailouts.

We’ve been robbed!

700 billion – where did it come from? It doesn’t exist’
Who’s on the hook for it? You and all the other taxpayers.
Where’s the money going?
I’ve got a theory on that – The IMF and possibly the World Bank.

.

IMF head calls for extra funding

Dominique Strauss-Kahn told the BBC that the IMF was likely to need at least $100bn (£68bn) of extra funding over the course of the next six months.

Dominique Strauss-Kahn speaks at the IMF in Washington (15 November 2008)

Mr Strauss-Kahn said the G20 was aware of the need for a strong IMF

The head of the International Monetary Fund says it will need more funding if it is to play a bigger role in aiding a global economic recovery.

BBC

The money was supposed to go to buy out bad mortgages, but it’s not.

In Canada our govt. is coughing up 75 billion for the same, supposed purpose. Last year the banks here made a profit of just under 20 billion.

Canada is one tenth the size of the US – so our 75 billion bail out is about the same as your 700 billion and our banks profits would be equal to 200 billion.

Bold faced robbery!

How is it that there never seems to be money for health and education or anything else that our tax dollars were supposed to pay for?

Please take some time to read the Green Agenda

The players and the plan is all there.

Hang on to your hat – you haven’t seen anything yet.
They’re just getting started.

Your tax dollars are financing the New World Order

Very interesting times ahead – in my humble opinion.

New World Order

November 13, 2008

Editor: The heading on the drop down list for the BBC news feed is New World Order. The story does not mention the NWO directly, but it does confirm that the west is screwed. Please take the time to read the Green Agenda

Insight: ‘Bretton Woods Two’?

By Bridget Kendall
BBC diplomatic correspondent

A deep-seated global crisis is often a chance to redraw the map, reflecting shifts in the balance of power in different ways.

First, the crisis can confirm or nudge ahead trends which seem to be happening anyway – like the shift of power from Western to emerging Eastern players.

Second, it can put flesh on reforms already in the air – like plans to overhaul the international financial architecture to be discussed at this weekend’s summit being hosted by President Bush in Washington.

Paulson says US bail-out working

November 12, 2008

Editor: He should have said the plan is working for his friends – everybody else can screw off. America has been robbed in the same fashion as 1929.

History repeats.

.

Paulson says US bail-out working

Henry Paulson outlined three ‘critical priorities’ for the rescue plan

He also appeared to rule out giving any of the funds to US carmakers, saying the bail-out was for financial firms.

The $700bn (£494bn) US bail-out package has already “clearly helped stabilise” the financial system, US Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson has said.

But he added that there were still many challenges ahead and market turbulence was likely to continue for some time.

Mr Paulson said authorities had abandoned plans to use some of the $700bn to buy up banks’ bad debts.

More growers turn to coal – Use of Coal is Expanding in the Province of Ontario

November 12, 2008

Editor: Can it get any more ridiculous?

Ontario is hell bent to close our coal plants and replace them with intermittent wind farms and solar parks – backed up by expensive gas plants.

If you asked someone to design the worst electrical system they could, it would likely be the one described above. The very things you would want to avoid if possible. Expensive and unreliable.

How do you promote an expensive, unreliable electrical system?

Are you stupid? Own a business?

Ontario is the place for you!

Shouldn’t the growers be using renewables like wind and solar? Not if you want your tomatoes.(wind and solar create carbon credits. We need reliable cost effective energy)

Dump the green lobbyists today – Call in the engineers and lets get a system that is cost effective and reliable. I have said this too many times but I will say it once more.

I had a long talk with the senior policy adviser for the Ministry of Energy and he agreed that the best system for Ontario was to put the scrubbers on the coal plants and build a nuke. 10 billion. Cost effective and as clean as we will get.

The green lobbyists plan-60+ billion (that’s a lot of your taxes wasted) for a system that is more expensive, unreliable and in the end not likely any cleaner than the one the policy adviser would build.

“This is about politics” I was told by the adviser. Well folks – heat your home or greenhouse with politics.

Read the story and if you are not outraged by this govt. – you probably work for them or one of the lobbyists.

“Coal is expanding in the province, despite a policy to phase out coal,” says Roger Samson, executive director of REAP-Canada, an independent group that encourages sustainable farming practices. “The Ontario government has no plan on how to mitigate this.”

How much coal, potentially, are we talking about? The energy demands of a typical greenhouse are enormous. Shalin Khosla, a greenhouse specialist with the agriculture ministry, says anywhere between 35 per cent to 50 per cent of the costs of operating a modern vegetable greenhouse goes toward energy consumption. The figure is closer to 20 per cent for flower growers.

It’s estimated that greenhouses in Ontario cover 2,823 acres, and that the average greenhouse requires 9,500 gigajoules of energy per acre every year. This works out to 26.8 million gigajoules annually.

Convert that energy into electricity potential and it works out to 7.44 terawatt-hours a year – more than three times the 2004 electricity output of the Lakeview coal-fired generating station in Mississauga (which has since been closed down and demolished).

That’s equivalent to more than one million tonnes of coal being burned annually.

It’s a mathematical exercise that raises a serious public policy question: What’s preventing the entire greenhouse industry from moving to coal, and in doing so, undermining the spirit of the McGuinty government’s coal phase-out strategy?

Not much, it appears. Unlike power plants and other major industrial facilities, greenhouses can burn whatever fuel they want without much scrutiny.

Keith Stewart, an energy expert with WWF-Canada and author of a book on Ontario’s electricity system, calls the situation “perverse” and a reflection of inconsistent government policy.

“Outdated energy policy is giving us coal-fired tomatoes,” he says.

full story at the Toronto Star

Tyler Hamilton can’t seem to write a story without including Keith Stewart in it. Tyler, go find some engineers. Stewart has a Phd in political science and environment. He is not a energy expert nor is the WWF.

I haven’t read his book but I have read enough “green” policy papers to pretty much know what it says. Green politics does not make an energy expert.

Stewart is a lobbyist for the green movement. Gerald Butts the ex-principal Secretary for McGuinty is now with the WWF. Robert Hornung of CanWEA and the Pembina Institute along with his friend David Suzuki are all involved in pressuring the govt. to adopt their policies and in the process are doing great harm to this Province and Canada.

None of these people are employed by the govt. nor are they elected and I don’t believe any of them are engineers.

They are promoters of a massive fraud that goes by the name of “Man Made Global Warming”.

So butt the fuck out of our electrical system.

If you don’t like Canada – go join your mentor Maurice Strong in China. They use lots of coal there. Go bother the Chinese

If any of you mentioned above would like to enter into an open debate, or have a comment-I’m available.

Goldman Sachs ready to hand out £7bn salary and bonus package… after its £6bn bail-out

Goldman Sachs ready to hand out £7bn salary and bonus package… after its £6bn bail-out

Goldman Sachs HQ

U.S. investment bank Goldman Sachs HQ which has set aside £7bn for bonuses and salaries this year

Goldman Sachs is on course to pay its top City bankers multimillion-pound bonuses – despite asking the U.S. government for an emergency bail-out.

The struggling Wall Street bank has set aside £7billion for salaries and 2008 year-end bonuses, it emerged yesterday.

Each of the firm’s 443 partners is on course to pocket an average Christmas bonus of more than £3million.

The size of the pay pool comfortably dwarfs the £6.1billion lifeline which the U.S. government is throwing to Goldman as part of its £430billion bail-out.

As Washington pours money into the bank, the cash will immediately be channelled to Goldman’s already well-heeled employees.

News of the firm’s largesse will revive the anger over the ‘rewards for failure’ culture endemic in the world of high finance.

The same bankers who have brought the global economy to its knees seem to pocketing the same kind of rewards they got during the boom years.

Earth on course for eco 'crunch' -BBC World News

October 28, 2008

Editor: If you like bullshit you’ve got to love the WWF. They can churn it out faster than the average person can read it. And you have to love the BBC in the UK and the CBC in Canada. They take the bull and make sure it is spread far and wide.

Before you get to the story by the BBC read these excerpts from the Green Agenda There’s a coup taking place and most people don’t know it yet.

“A radical change from the current trajectory is required, a complete reordering of global society…”

“Humans only truly unite when faced with a powerful external enemy…”

“At this time a new enemy must be found, one either real or invented for the purpose…”

“Democracy has failed us, a new system of global governance, based on environmental imperatives, must be implemented quickly…”

Gaia, Global Warming, and Global Governance are intricately entwined, if one truly believes in Gaia, and that she is being fatally harmed by the current system, then a new system of global governance and control would appear to be the only answer. Global Warming provides the ideal ‘enemy’ to bring about this objective. It is easy for these global elitists to talk about sacrifice, wrenching transformation, population control and halving the use of fossil fuels but the implications are truely horrendous.

Even if you think this is all nonsense I would ask you to at least read these quotes and excerpts, and think about the implications of their agenda. Everyday I am amazed at how quickly things are changing. It is coming hard and fast. It’s almost like reading a book and then watching the television adaptation, except that this adaptation is not a movie – it’s on the evening news. As Al Gore said in the closing sentence of his statement after he won the Nobel Peace Prize … “This is just the beginning.”

When you look at the map below keep these quotes in mind

As David Rockefeller stated, “all we need is the right crisis”. Everything is now in place. They are just building momentum and waiting for the storm they know is coming. You don’t need to look in the shadows for the coming world government. It is standing right before your eyes. When they bring “order out of chaos” the United Nations will be transformed and the final global empire will be born.

Isn’t the only hope for the planet that the industrialized civilizations collapse?

Isn’t it our responsibility to bring that about?”

Reckless consumption comes at a high cost, the report warns

The planet is headed for an ecological “credit crunch”, according to a report issued by conservation groups.

The document contends that our demands on natural resources overreach what the Earth can sustain by almost a third.

The Living Planet Report is the work of WWF, the Zoological Society of London and the Global Footprint Network.

It says that more than three quarters of the world’s population lives in countries where consumption levels are outstripping environmental renewal.

This makes them “ecological debtors”, meaning that they are drawing – and often overdrawing – on the agricultural land, forests, seas and resources of other countries to sustain them.

Infographic (BBC)
The map shows hectares’ worth consumed in goods and services

The report concludes that the reckless consumption of “natural capital” is endangering the world’s future prosperity, with clear economic impacts including high costs for food, water and energy.

“If our demands on the planet continue to increase at the same rate, by the mid-2030s we would need the equivalent of two planets to maintain our lifestyles,” said WWF International director-general James Leape.

US debt clock runs out of digits

October 9, 2008

That’s a lot of zero’s.

I’d like to add two more.

Obama and McCain.

America needs to start with a clean slate. Vote for an independent or one of the many small parties. A clear message must be sent to the White House.

US debt clock runs out of digits

File pic from September 2008 of the US National Debt Clock in New York

Until last month, the clock had enough digits to measure US debt levels

The US government’s debts have ballooned so badly the National Debt Clock in New York has run out of digits to record the spiralling figure.

The digital counter marks the national debt level, but when that passed the $10 trillion point last month, the sign could not display the full amount.

The board was erected to highlight the $2.7 trillion level of debt in 1989.

The clock’s owners say two more zeros will be added, allowing the clock to record a quadrillion dollars of debt.

Douglas Durst, son of the late Seymour Durst – the clock’s inventor – hopes to replace the Manhattan clock with its lengthier replacement early next year.

For the time being, the Times Square counter’s electronic dollar sign has been replaced with the extra digit required.

For its part, the digital dollar symbol has been supplanted by a cheaper version – perhaps a sign of the times for the American economy.

Some economists believe the $700bn bail-out plan for ailing US financial institutions could send the national debt level to $11 trillion.

Is Global Warming Man Made?

June 9, 2008

Editor:

Is Global warming man made?

Yes

Global warning is man made all right.

It’s made up – by man.

And it’s being used to screw you over.

The elites have a “Agenda” and they are using the idea of global warming – fronted by the “Green Movement” to push their “Agenda”.

Renewable energy, high food prices, high fuel prices and failing economies are are all part of their “Agenda”, to crush the industrialized world.

What is the ultimate aim of these elite – psychopaths, sociopaths and so called world leaders.

They have two aims.

1) A New world order.

2) Massive depopulation.

“We came up with the idea”

In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up
with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming,
water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill …
All these dangers are caused by human intervention
and it is only through changed attitudes and
behaviour that they can be overcome.
The real enemy, then, is humanity itself
