When I started researching  wind farms, it didn’t take long to realize global warming was a fraud.

As the late George Carlin said – “what do they want? more for themselves and less for everyone else.” (video on sidebar)

That in a nut shell, wraps up the reality of the global warming hoax, and wind farms are directly tied to the hoax. (no global warming – no need for wind farms)

The question then becomes – Are we going to let our ”so-called” leaders  get away with the lies and the bull, that will in the end, destroy our countries.

Write or call your newspapers, radio and tv stations. Let them know you intend to stop using their services until such time as they quit hiding the truth, and start printing and broadcasting some reality.

Not true. Under the terms of the UN Global Warming Treaty, 134 of the 185 member nations were exempt and had no greenhouse gas restrictions. That was important because global warming has never been about global warming. Global warming has always been an issue about how to transfer jobs from the United States to the third world without Congressmen and Senators being run out of office. The inconvenient truth is the environmentalist Congressmen and Senators certainly did not intend to lose their jobs as they honored the wishes of their constituency! Climate experts get key US posts

Mr Holdren says climate change is already causing widespread harm

US President-elect Barack Obama has nominated two leading global warming specialists for key science posts in his administration.

Harvard physicist John Holdren will be Mr Obama’s scientific adviser while marine biologist Jane Lubchenco will head the US oceanic research body.

Both have advocated greater government action on climate change.

Their appointments have been seen as a sign of Mr Obama’s commitment to tackling environmental issues.

In his weekly address, Mr Obama said that “today, more than ever before, science holds the key to our survival as a planet and our security and prosperity as a nation”.

He said it was “time we once again put science at the top of our agenda” and that he was confident that the US could “lead the world into a new future of peace and prosperity”.

‘Respectful’

Mr Holdren was described by Mr Obama as “one of the most passionate and persistent voices of our time about the growing threat of climate change”.

Ms Lubchenco has criticised the Bush administration’s scientific policies

He has said that climate change is already causing widespread harm and has called for a more robust government response.

Mr Holdren will become director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy (OSTP) and the co-chair of the Council of Advisers on Science and Technology.

He will share the latter post with Nobel Prize-winning scientist Harold Varmus and Eric Lander, a specialist in human genome research.

Mr Lander’s appointment has been seen as an indication of Mr Obama’s willingness to break from President George Bush’s resistance to genetic research.

Meanwhile, Ms Lubchenco will direct the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) which monitors global weather patterns and ocean currents.

She had criticised the Bush administration earlier this year for not being “respectful” of science.

“I am very much looking forward to a new administration that does respect scientific information and that considers it very seriously in making environmental policies,” she said.

Mr Obama, who takes office on 20 January, has now filled all the posts in the cabinet. However all nominees must still be vetted and approved by the Senate.

Al Gore was optimistic about some developing countries’ plans

Leaders will have to embrace tougher targets on reducing emissions if they want to prevent dangerous climate change, according to Al Gore.

Speaking here at the UN climate conference, the former US presidential candidate said the “sclerotic” politics of today had to change.

His speech was met with rapturous applause by thousands of delegates.

But environmental groups here criticised the EU’s climate and energy package, agreed earlier in Brussels.

EU leadership is widely seen as vital in clinching a global deal at the next UN conference in Copenhagen in a year’s time; and campaigners say European governments have concluded a weak agreement.

But Mr Gore, who won last year’s Nobel Peace Prize for his work on climate change, said he saw more reasons for optimism than pessimism.

“To those who say it’s too difficult to conclude a deal by Copenhagen, I say it can be done, it will be done, let’s finish this process.”

Virtually every claim made by T. Boone
Pickens to justify the lavish subsidies he is seeking for his wind
energy investments is flat wrong.

First, oil imports are not the
cause of high gasoline prices. On the contrary, oil imports serve to
keep gasoline prices down. After all, we import oil for a reason —
it’s cheaper than the domestic alternative. If we were to restrict our
energy diet to energy produced in the United States, it would make
domestic energy producers (like Mr. Pickens) far richer and energy
consumers (the rest of us) far poorer, and GDP would be reduced as
well. While one can understand why Mr. Pickens is attracted to the idea
of “energy independence,” for the rest of us, keeping the country open
to imported goods is pro-consumer, whether we’re talking about oil,
steel, textiles or athletic shoes.

Second, we are no more forced
to rely on the “goodwill” of foreign oil producers when we shop for
petroleum than we are forced to rely on the “goodwill” of supermarkets
when we shop for eggs and milk. Oil producers export crude oil because
it’s a great way to make money — and for many, the only way to make
money. And once that oil is in the global marketplace, market actors,
not oil producers, dictate where it goes. Hence, we are betting on
producer greed — which is a pretty safe bet.

Third, if wind
energy were a sensible economic investment, it would not need the
lavish federal and state subsidies already in place or the additional
largesse sought after by Mr. Pickens. Likewise, if compressed natural
gas (CNG) vehicles are an economically sensible alternative to
conventional gasoline-powered vehicles, then no government “master
plan” is necessary to deliver them to market. Price signals will induce
investors to invest and consumers to buy, without government having to
lift a finger. The same goes for all the other energy-related R&D
Mr. Pickens would like the taxpayer to dole out. If that R&D is
promising, it will be pursued, whether government subsidizes it or not.

Fourth,
if reducing our carbon footprint is the goal, then the most direct and
efficient means of reducing that footprint is to impose a tax on carbon
emissions and then leave it to the market to sort out how to most
efficiently order affairs under those new prices. Maybe it will mean
windmills and CNG, but maybe not. Perhaps it will mean more nuclear
power, new hydrogen-powered fuel cells, “clean” coal, the emergence of
cellulosic ethanol, battery-powered cars or hybrids — or a
continuation of the existing energy base but less consumption as a
consequence.

Of course, if the market were to go into any of
those directions, Mr. Pickens would be out a lot of money, which is
probably why he wants to hard-wire the market to consume the things
he’s investing in and have the government lavish him with subsidies in
the course of doing so. I wish Mr. Pickens well in his wind energy
business, but I see no reason why taxpayers, ratepayers or consumers
ought to be forced to sacrifice in order to fatten his already ample

The price of European emission
permits is rising so rapidly that German companies are threatening to
leave the country. Thousands of jobs could be lost. And the environment
may, in the end, be no better off.

Numerous German companies would relocate abroad if the EU fully implements its carbon trading scheme.

They sat silently through two lectures, but then they couldn’t
control their anger any longer. The civil servants from the Environment
Ministry, the Environment Agency and the German Emissions Trading
Authority made it sound easy for industry to take up carbon trading. It
was just too much for the managers to tolerate.

“If that’s the shape the trading will take, we will simply move our
cement operation to Ukraine,” a cement factory manager shouted into the
lecture hall. “Then there won’t be any trading here, nothing will be
produced here anymore — the lights will simply go out here.”

The businessmen’s anger surprised the emissions-allowance trading
experts. They had invited industry representatives to a relaxed forum
at the Environment Ministry’s office in Bonn. They wanted to present
international developments in the carbon trading market. However, the
mood in the German business world has soured — managers no longer have
the stomach for academic lectures. The reason is that emissions
allowances are already burdening some companies that require a lot of
energy for production purposes.

In the last 12 months alone, the price for the right to pump a ton
of carbon into the atmosphere has shot up from €23 ($36.5) to nearly
€30 ($47.6), according to the European Energy Exchange in Leipzig. This
hike of around 30 percent has a direct effect on the electricity
production of power companies.

According to calculations by Point Carbon — a Norwegian company
that specializes in analyzing global power, gas and carbon markets —
this price hike would drive up the marginal cost of energy from an old
brown coal power plant by the entire price of carbon. For modern
natural gas power plants, it would increase prices by a third. Energy
company RWE, which is based in the German city of Essen, reckons it
alone will have to pay €9 billion ($14.2 billion) for its own
electricity production, which it, of course, will pass on in higher
electricity prices. So carbon trading will have a direct impact on
which countries firms chose to locate in.

“If the cement industry is gradually pulled into the trading of
carbon emission allowances, companies will move production to countries
that don’t take part in the scheme,” Andreas Kern, President of the
German Cement Industry Federation, has warned.

Scientists with access to data from Navy submarines traversing underneath the North polar ice cap have warned that there is now a 75 percent chance that within five years the entire ice cap will completely disappear during the summer months. This will further increase the melting pressure on Greenland. According to experts, the Jakobshavn glacier, one of Greenland’s largest, is moving at a faster rate than ever before, losing 20 million tons of ice every day, equivalent to the amount of water used every year by the residents of New York City.

Two major studies from military intelligence experts have warned our

leaders about the dangerous national security implications of the climate crisis, including the possibility of hundreds of millions of climate refugees destabilizing nations around the world. Just two days ago, 27 senior statesmen and retired military leaders warned of thenational security threat from an “energy tsunami” that would be triggered by a loss of our access to foreign oil.

Marc Morano, a spokesperson from the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee minority staff, says the U.N. Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change is scaling back on its previous dire predictions of catastrophic climate change.

The Senate Environment and Public Works Committee (EPW) says that with each successive report from the United Nations’ Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), there is less cause for alarm than previously thought. Morano points out that in the recent 2007 report, man’s alleged impact on “global warming” was scaled back by 25 percent while ocean-level rise was also reduced.

According to Morano, this is the 13th year that rapid warming has been predicted and advertised in the media by Al Gore and the U.N., but it has failed to occur. “So at some point, they’re getting worried — and now you have record winter in the Northern Hemisphere and record winter in the Southern Hemisphere, [as well as] global cooling to the extent from 2007 to 2008 that was rather significant and surprised a lot of scientists,” Morano contends.

He also says the U.N. is realizing and acknowledging that there is continually less cause for alarm on the subject.

“And now you have a cooling …. [But] NASA scientist James Hansen [is] trying to say ‘well, warming will resume soon, but this is just [a] natural factor [with] the ocean circulation,’ but the fact of the matter is the head of the U.N. [IPCC] Rajendra Pachauri came out recently and said we have to investigate this apparent temperature plateau,” Morano notes.

The Senate committee staff member contends Al Gore is currently trying to sidestep the issue.
