China Building 500 Coal Plants

January 29, 2009

At the two minute mark of the video below, from Australia, we learn that China is building 500 coal plants over the next ten years — One new power plant every four days.

China is  exempt from KYOTO

Think About it!

In Ontario, Canada, the govt. is filling rural Ont. with wind turbines under the guise of saving the environment and closing our four coal plants. ( wind has never been responsible for the closure of any fossil fuel plant)

We are going to close four coal plants at the same time China builds one every four days.

Think About it!

In the USA Obama said he will bankrupt the coal plants.

Think About it.

The Scam is Huge

and

it’s not about saving the environment and it’s not Green

Al Gore’s Energy Speech and the Meaning Behind the Words

July 18, 2008

The following is the text of Al Gore’s major energy policy speech given on Thursday, July 17th, 2008.

There are times in the history of our nation when our very way of life depends upon dispelling illusions and awakening to the challenge of a present danger. In such moments, we are called upon to move quickly and boldly to shake off complacency, throw aside old habits and rise, clear-eyed and alert, to the necessity of big changes.
Those who, for whatever reason, refuse to do their part must either be
persuaded to join the effort or asked to step aside. This is such a
moment.

The survival of the United States of America as we know it is at risk. And even more – if more should be required – the future of human civilization is at stake. I don’t remember a time in our country when so many things seemed to be going so wrong simultaneously. Our economy is in terrible shape and getting worse, gasoline prices are increasing dramatically, and so are electricity rates. Jobs are being outsourced. Home mortgages are in trouble. Banks, automobile companies and other institutions we depend upon are under growing pressure. Distinguished senior business leaders are telling us that this is just the beginning unless we find the courage to make some major changes quickly.

The climate crisis, in particular, is getting a lot worse – much more quickly than predicted. Scientists with access to data from Navy submarines traversing underneath the North polar ice cap have warned that there is now a 75 percent chance that within five years the entire ice cap will completely disappear during the summer months. This will further increase the melting pressure on Greenland. According to experts, the Jakobshavn glacier, one of Greenland’s largest, is moving at a faster rate than ever before, losing 20 million tons of ice every day, equivalent to the amount of water used every year by the residents of New York City.

Two major studies from military intelligence experts have warned our

leaders about the dangerous national security implications of the climate crisis, including the possibility of hundreds of millions of climate refugees destabilizing nations around the world. Just two days ago, 27 senior statesmen and retired military leaders warned of thenational security threat from an “energy tsunami” that would be triggered by a loss of our access to foreign oil.

Al’s friends talk about democracy

The concept of national sovereignty has been immutable,
indeed a sacred principle of international relations.
It is a principle which will yield only slowly and reluctantly to
the new imperatives of global environmental cooperation.

UN Commission on Global Governance report

“Democracy is not a panacea. It cannot organize everything and it is unaware of its own limits. These facts must be faced squarely.
Sacrilegious though this may sound, democracy is no longer well
suited for the tasks ahead. The complexity and the technical nature
of many of today’s problems do not always allow elected
representatives to make competent decisions at the right time.

Club of Rome,
The First Global Revolution

The emerging ‘environmentalization’ of our civilization
and the need for vigorous action in the interest of the entire global
community will inevitably have multiple political consequences.
Perhaps the most important of them will be a gradual change
in the status of the United Nations. Inevitably, it must assume some aspects of a world government.

Mikhail Gorbachev,
State of the World Forum

In my view, after fifty years of service in the United Nations system,
I perceive the utmost urgency and absolute necessity for proper
Earth government. There is no shadow of a doubt that the present
political and economic systems are no longer appropriate and will lead to
the end of life evolution on this planet.
We must therefore absolutely and urgently look for new ways.”

Taxpayers To Fund Climate Change Junket VANCOUVER

March 14, 2008

Taxpayers To Fund Climate Change Junket VANCOUVER: The Canadian Taxpayers Federation (CTF) brought to light today a B.C. government e-mail, that appears to have gone to all B.C. government employees, inviting them to submit written or video entries for a taxpayer-funded trip to Montreal for a climate change workshop with Al Gore.

“Sending bureaucrats for so-called training to Montreal with climate change guru Al Gore shows the government has fallen completely under the spell of its unelected climate change advisors,” said Maureen Bader, B.C. Director of the CTF. “Certainly, there must be a better use for tax dollars than competing for trips to ‘education camps’ and helping line Al Gore’s pockets even further. The government’s ideological zeal in this issue knows no bounds.”

In October 2007, the British High Court ruled that showing Mr. Gore’s film “An Inconvenient Truth” in UK schools, and misleading students into believing it accurately represented climate science, was in violation of the political indoctrination section of the country’s Education Act of 1996.

Bureaucrats have until March 17 to write a 300 word essay or 2-minute video that explains why they should be selected to attend this training. The email highlights that this training will help attendees develop as public speakers.

Global Warming – The Debate Is Not Over

March 6, 2008

Al Gore made a movie called An Inconvenient Truth. The movie title should have been A Convenient Lie. It is through this lie that the idea of Global Warming is being forced on the world.

Al Gore ran for President of the USA. That alone should bring into question his ability to tell the truth.

It began when Al Gore was a young man…

In the fall of 1968 Al Gore claimed that he’d influenced the nomination acceptance speech of Hubert Humphrey….. Is Al Gore a Chronic Liar? You be the Judge

Al Gore in the USA and David Suzuki in Canada say the debate is over. There never was any debate – so how can it possibly be over. Anyone who tried to debate the subject was removed from the process.

It was decided that global warming would be used to scare people into accepting things they would never accept otherwise. Global warming is not based on science; it is political wrapped in the guise of science.

In searching for a new enemy to unite us, we came up with the idea that pollution, the threat of global warming, water shortages, famine and the like would fit the bill …All these dangers are caused by human intervention and it is only through changed attitudes and behaviour that they can be overcome.
The real enemy, then, is humanity itself

The excerpt below is from Cloak of Green by Elaine Dewar published 1995 After you read it you will never look at the Green Movement or your govt. the same way again. Global Warming is a massive con of the public by the Greens, Govt. and the Media. One World Govt. is the end game for these groups.

One scientist, Richard Lindzen of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, was quoted in the Toronto Star directly criticizing the U.N. report. His position, as reported in the Star, was: “Any poll taken shows that scientists are highly divided except on one issue … there’s ‘no evidence at all’ of warming caused by humans so far.” Lindzen further argued that none of the global warming models had the physics base or the numerical accuracy to handle the question. Contrary to the U.N.’s figures,

Lindzen estimated an increase in average warmth of less than .33 degrees Celsius by the end «of the next century.1 Friends of the Earth Canada’s Acting Executive Director Robert Hornung (Robert Hornung is now the President of CanWEA. The Canadian Wind Association) added, was quoted denigrating Lindzen’s position by pointing to its impact: it would provide an excuse for governments or industry “to avoid taking action.” A physicist at the: University of Toronto then denigrated Lindzen’s motives, suggesting Lindzen had made himself “very prominent” by “criticizing the conventional wisdom.”

Newsweek carried a cover story on June 1 devoted to the Rio Summit. It opened with a description of a computer game called WorldS which allowed players to change certain fundamental environmental conditions such as measures of soil fertility and industrial capacity. Most changes produced a series of terrifying results. Donella Meadows, one of the authors of this model, said, “If changes are not made then our computer model foresees collapse within 50 years.” Dennis Meadows, her co-author, had predicted collapse once before—twenty years earlier, in fact, right on time for the Stockholm Conference. Meadows had then produced what Newsweek called the “notorious 1972 report ‘Limits to Growth.'” Meadows had warned then that population growth might tip the world’s economic or geological life support systems; into collapse within one hundred years.

About the Author

In 1988 Elaine Dewar began work on a short, upbeat article for Saturday Night about how David Suzuki and groups like the World Wildlife Fund were helping the Kayapo Indians of Brazil defend the rainforest. But once Dewar learned that the Kayapo were living off the avails of gold mining and the sale of mahogany, the story took a different turn. Dewar followed a trail of millions of charitable and tax dollars as they moved from business interests to environment and development charities to activists shaping the political climate on three continents. The result, seven years later, is Cloak of Green.

If you want to understand the Green Movement and Global Warming read Cloak of Green.

Al Gore Gets Roasted on global warming

March 3, 2008

Editor
Al Gore had been invited to the conference and to speak and that The Heartland Institute was prepared to pay his US$200,000 speaking fee – but he declined the invitation.
Why? Because he would have to debate real scientists.  Both Gore and Suzuki keep saying the debate is over. What they are really doing is trying to keep the spotlight from shining on the truth.

ONE WORLD ORDER

Climate skeptics roast Al Gore on global warming

Photo
By Steve James NEW YORK (Reuters) – Al Gore, who won the Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for his environmental advocacy, was the main target on Monday at a conference of dissident scientists skeptical of his views on global warming. Several speakers at the conference on climate change whose theme was “Global warming is not a crisis,” took pot-shots at the ex-vice president and his film, “An Inconvenient Truth,” which won last year’s Academy Award for best documentary. “Whether we like it or not, it was extremely effective propaganda,” said Timothy Ball, an environmental consultant and former climatology professor at the University of Winnipeg. “It was appropriate that he got an Oscar from the land of make-believe,” he joked.

The gathering was sponsored by the Heartland Institute, a non-profit libertarian organization that studies environmental and other issues “from a free-market perspective” and argues that “property rights and markets do a better job than government bureaucracies.”

Attendees watched a movie, “A Climate of Fear,” by conservative TV commentator Glenn Beck, who charged that anyone who opposes the view that carbon dioxide and other greenhouse gases are causing the earth to warm up, are branded “heretics or Nazis.”

“Al Gore’s version of climate change has no longer become science. It’s dogma. And if you question it, you are a heretic,” Beck said in the film.

The conference challenged a strong majority of world scientific opinion that has concluded that greenhouse gases are contributing to global warming.
This view has been backed by bodies such as the U.S. National Academy of Sciences, American Meteorological Society, American Geophysical Union, the American Association for the Advancement of Science and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change.

“Our imperfect understanding of the causes and consequences of climate change means the science is far from settled,” said Fred Singer, of the Science and Environmental Policy Project.

“Proposed efforts to mitigate climate change by reducing greenhouse gas emissions are premature and misguided. Any attempt to influence global temperatures by reducing such emissions would be both futile and expensive,” he said.

Lord Monckton, who advised former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, blamed “the international left,” for promoting that global warming is dangerous.

“It’s the media wanting a scare story,” he said.
